Phil Wheatley, Director General of the National Offender Management Service, acknowledged the problems at Whitemoor.

He said: 'Work to improve the relationships between staff and prisoners is a priority and measures have been implemented to tackle this, including training to develop staff understanding of the growing Muslim population.'

It beggars belief. They should be given the choice - go live in a country that understands you or conform to our rules.

This is typical, apologist, PC wooly hat beardo PC bullsh*t. As least some in the prison service see "bleeding heart liberalism" at work.

The bit I find strange is "And staff at the Cambridgeshire jail don't know how to 'challenge inappropriate behaviour,' prison inspectors said." What the hell does that mean and why can't they do their jobs properly?

What training and development is required to understand the growing Muslim prison population?
A certain percentage of the growing Muslim prison population has a mission to convert other prisoners to radical Islam. That's it. Which part of this simple statement don't prison staff understand?
The solution? Place the radicalisers in separate wings, where they can have no contact with other prisoners.
The problem with this is, it will help create the Islamic `state within a state' that the radicals desire.
