Herrman Verheirstraeten, made a comment which is important. Was it deliberate to provoke a response. It is a matter of record that a NEC member proposed a UKIP wine operation, as scheme for fund raising. It was approved by the NEC, and the proposer was quite hopeful that it had, 'Great Capabilities' as Mr Brown would have said.

Following the NEC's approval, the proposer received a telephone call from Tom Wise, informing him that he (Wise) was to be put in charge of the scheme. He was to visit a vineyard the Lebanon to organise wine importation. A subsequent telephone call from Mike Nattrass, confirmed that this was to be the future arrangement. The proposer of the scheme was informed, not too politely, that his role in the matter was now at an end.

Clearly UKIP wine/champagne did exist, but how much money is/was actually realised for the Party? From where was the operation conducted? Wine importation is a complicated business, bonded warehouses; duty obligations, etc. This requires a full explanation. We are talking about a scheme which was approved by the NEC. and it appears to have existed as a reality. Should not further information be provided?

I see GC has climbed on board another 'white elephant'. Do you not consider taking the 'mick' out of someone because they are not grammatically correct in a foreign tongue is not very nice.
