Default Nigel Farage on Question Time

His appearance has been moved to 6th November, according to the UKIP press office.

As he's a good media orator, why isnt he on QT more frequently,..... like EVERY month? Do the BBC invite other UKIP members onto the panel? (okay, Michael Heaver , but any others recently?) Are the BBC trying to tell us something about their "institutional bias" by keeping UKIP off their programmes?

Certainly, the chairman is far from even-handed, and to have Nigel on more frequently might make his job even harder!

Being totally unbiased about it myself, its not as if the other (main - ha!ha!) parties have anything helpful or unique to contribute to politics, so keeping UKIP off seems a bit stupid of them (the BBC) for what is a political programme.

With the EU in such control of our daily lives, can we afford to allow debate to be stifled over the real causes by these so called main parties not willing to put up sensible arguments for fear of their EU masters.

We get appearancees based on how many elected reps we have. Logically, I would have expected it to be Bob Spink's turn...

Indeed, Mr Spink or Mr Batten or some other UKIP face would make us look less like a one man band playing one tune that's a bit worn out.

An opportunity for Spink or Batten would be good, but at least Nigel does keep getting asked back - they must think he really livens things up and helps to stop viewers from switching channels.

That'll be good to get more faces on the prog. Mind you, this from Nigel < see > might sound good on QT.

I note some have even commented it's a good enough performance to get NF as British Prime Minister! (heaven help us !!)

EU blues,

I think the invite is for a UKIP person, not NF personally. The best performer by miles on Question Time is George Galloway but because he has only his own talents to recommend him he gets invited about once a year. Would he would join UKIP.

QT invites individuals, not parties per se. They decide the number of appearances based on electoral results, but are free to ask, nay, demand, specific people. This has long been a problem with QT: if you don't provide who they want, you don't get on.
