Lie number one. The money was given to the AFBNP, not to the person concerned. The person concerned, who Abbott claims was seeking help with his legal fees to avoid deportation for failing to comply with the legislative requirements of fundraising for an alien political party in the United States, was not actually facing deportation at the time of the payments, as the complaint over this failure was not made until, from memory, some 14 months later.

Given how much you value honesty in accounting, I would have though you'd have made a basic check on your facts before posting unchecked the false version that Abbott circulates.

Mark Croucher: Are you saying that it is a lie that Dr Abbott, unlike many in UKIP, chose not to join an extremist political party. Are you saying that it was lie that Dr Abbott has a long record of supporting a multitude of organisations, which support black, brown, caucasian, Jewish people, etc? Are you saying that it is a lie that Dr Abbott was subjected to a NEC inquiry, at the conclusion of which, Nigel Farage supported David Abbott's admission to the NEC. Well give us the true version, what are you actually saying? If David Abbott wished to join the BNP, why did he desist from doing so?

You may remember that Adrian Lithgow was allowed to commence his duties as editor of the UKIP Independence News, despite having been convicted, by his own confession, of a racially motivated assault on a foreign railway worker. Why did you not tell the membership what had been done in their name?

I certainly value honesty in accounting: that is why I have asked for your support to commence a forensic audit. Will you please accept my request or state your reasons for a refusal? A lot of money has been disbursed for all manner of reasons: redundancy payments, legal charges, unexplained lottery donations, wine sales, employment agencies; far too numerous to mention them all in just one posting.

All this hot air from MC re David Abbott`s supposed links with the BNP has rather cleverly got this thread off topic ,well done Mark nice bit of work there .

By the way I do think it is way below the belt for MC to say that Abbott is "free to be a nazi if he wishes ",doesn`t this all have more a wiff of Searchlight paranoia about it all.
If you take a look at their website it is completely obsessed by them as parts of UKIP`s management and some ex- employees appear to be .

Mark i am very disappointed,i always thought it was good that you came on here and gave the other side but your comments on DA are beyond the pail to accuse him of being BNP or a Nazi is nothing more than name calling you do the same with GLW regarding the BNP.
I am absolutely sure you know neither of them are this way inclined but you use their slight association with the BNP to denigrate them, in my opinion this is cheap you should know better than to sink to the lowest denominator.

Before getting hysterical about Abbott's misjudgement note this. The present government has in it, former communists who are welcomed into the Labour party on the basis they have seen the light, ,repented and now presumably believe in democracy rather than oppression/state murder. It seems Searchlight ( which UKIP has dabbled with) has an unreformed communist driver. The EU Green Party has as it's leader a former street fighting anti democracy anarchist/left/fascist thug member once of a very nasty organisation, who is welcomed into Greens as presumably he has seen the light and repented. As for Sinn Fein welcomed with open arms by New Labour ...dont even go there.

Abbott was not even a member of BNP, and as far as I know does not eat babies for breakfast. UKIP should be confident enough as a party in its ideals to accept any decent person who is genuinely sorry for past mistakes, misjudgements and follies of past political stances.

Are you suggesting nazi's are not welcome. How unfortunate, when the membership has decreased to put people off joining! Surely personal association with the BNP should be encouraged - get some insider information for the party perhaps?
