To concentrate the mind .... just supposing in imagination ....

Morning after June MEP elections..... UKIP doesnt do well but NF & ( "I am not a Eurosceptic" )Marta are elected...

NF drops bombshell saying that he is fed up with all the disloyalty and moaning in the party which " has caused my election expectations not to be met" and hence he & Marta are jumping ship to a " more positive" pan EU reform party that is offering him a role "where his leadership talents will be recognized over the next 5 years"

Shock, panic, the remaining key figures desperately flip through the list of likely replacements ..... to find the last one left, left the party the week before.

What will happen next ?

Isn't that a variation on Alan Sked's "Tirez Le Rideaux" resignation speech as party leader?

I would sincerely hope not! Unfortunately these days the media are only interested in 'slick' performers, one stumble in front of the camera and you're dead. Why else is he often invited on QT? Do you think the BBC have him on QT because they want to help UKIP? Roger Knapman is a very nice man, but when he was in front of a TV camera he froze like a rabbit caught in headlights. I've seen other UKIP supporters on QT who because they were not good in front of a camera were worse than useless for the UKIP cause and they didn't get invited back! I just hope for everybody's sake that the people who still chose Richard Ski even after after he threw his toys out of the pram on this a public forum, never get their hands on the levers of power!

UKIP should be actively seeking and training up others. Nigel has had lots of practise to improve - even his first QT performance was, albeit competent, not great...

I know nothing of Richadski and have never supported him ever, but my last post was pointing out the fact kernow that all you can say possitive about Farage is that he talks good on telly, thats not a lot is it?

So does Ken Dodd but you would never back him as a leader of anything would you?

I watched James Whale on tv again this morning,he puts Farage right in the shade with regard to talking and presenting his point of view, now,he's someone I could support because I believe him and he comes over as being reliable and trustworthy which is what UKIP and the voting populace like and need.

What has Farage accomplished since he took over, and since he became an MEP years ago even?

I know he has invited and installed a pro EU person as a list candidate for the EU Elections,he has also signed all of UKIP and its anti EU membership up to Subsidiarity,he is now clearly heading in the opposite direction to everyone else(EXCLUDING HIS SYNCOPHANTIC CABAL) in the party in a search for Reforming the EU from within the EU.

FARAGE AND HIS SYCOPHANTIC FEW HAVE SIEZED UKIP,AND THATS THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF IT.

Just about sums it up.

I included and voted for Robin Page because of his experience on the media and because, from what I have heard, seems to work from a pretty solid base. Clearly only one other feels the same - has he done something to offend the many?

No, it's just other candidates, Petrina for example, are strong too - and she was going to actually stand, last time, until her husband fell ill and needed a long convalescence...

Yes - I am very surprised that Petrina has not done better. If there is concern that the Party is not administered from a secure legal base - then Petrina would be the one to make sure that it is - perhaps she is seen more as a valuable Chairman.
