Wouldn't that be a breach of the data protection act, whoever this chap is, if he wishes to post anonymously.

Solihullbased - A very strange request for your 1st posting, don't you think?
As no one knows who you are, why should anyone give you confidential
info. even if they knew?

He has this letter in the latest Young Independence, so I assume he's a member...
Quote:
Where were you in Crewe or even Henley? As you may have
heard, UKIP didn't do especially well in either Crewe or Henley,
but things can only get better right? Yes but only with your help!
UKIP has recently suffered a drop in activism among its
members for many reasons and it is now time for Young
Independence to lead the way. We as a group should be the
driving force for all elections, sending large groups to wherever
the election may be- large or small, local or national, Young
Independence members should be there delivering leaflets,
manning high street stalls and canvassing on the doors giving
UKIP a powerful team and enabling us to fight a proper
campaign. For Young Independence members it's a great way
to gain first hand experience and have fun and for our older
members a definite morale boost. This will encourage more
members to get involved especially when they see the impact
we are having! I for one have been quite a hypocrite over the
years moaning at UKIP results without mucking in and getting
my hands dirty so I'm going to help my local branch more and
will certainly try to get myself to every future national election (I
look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!). What are
you going to do? Josh O'Nyons

No, if a poster chooses to post anonymously that's up to them. If Josh (if he is a poster here) sees your post, he may or may not contact you via PM.

The last sentence seems to imply 'hostility' toward Josh O'Nyons, however the fact remains that a disclose of his details would be wrong.

Yes Bob - both wrong and also (as you stated) against the DPA.

I believe josh is based in Solihull like me, and I wish to contact him regarding the contents of the letter, I have no negative or hostility towards Mr Onyons and I simply wish to help him contract him.

Why not visit the Young Independence website and ask them to help you get in touch?
