Why are you calling him a prat, Mike? Could it be anything to with him declining to speak at a CDA conference?

UKIP Surrey News will have a stand. We hope that all those on this forum will drop in for a chat.

We shall be selling the idea of each county having an edition of the newspaper. We shall be taking orders for the October 2008 print run.

Examples:

UKIP SURREY NEWS
UKIP CORNWALL NEWS
UKIP ESSEX NEWS
UKIP KENT NEWS
UKIP WALES NEWS
UKIP HAMPSHIRE NEWS
UKIP DORSET NEWS

Here is an idea:

UKIP YOUNG NEWS

... an edition of the newspaper specially for the under 35s. Michael, could you be the editor of that edition?

Mikeuk, perhaps it was just a reminder letter, people do send them you know. I got one. It helps when your in business to be reminded of things. I do try to note things in my diary but then forget to look at it. I've not mastered the diary alert system on my computer.

Given that Bob here thinks the NEC shouldn't be told things, without vetting, in case they leak, how about:

UKIP NEC NEWS?

You could second Bob's conference motion...

Surely this will be at additional cost and for what end exactly? IMO this would be a waste of time and energy. I would have thought there where more important fish to fry.

People pick up free newspapers. If a Branch or Region can afford it why not. I think it's 2p a copy.

Fair enough if UKIP can afford the cost. Actually I'd save money by turning the Independence into paper and not a glossy.

The difference Independence goes to members, at no cost. The branches would pay for the paper. I would agree if HQ produced a newspaper and distributed thousands of copies, the Surrey one wouldn't be needed. I suspect they will not because of the cost.

How come the 'Independence' cost nothing or do you mean somebody else oays for it and not UKIP? either way I'd still save money on turning it to paper and use the savings else where.
