UKIP Website Header

When I first saw the site I expressed on here that I had concerns. Those concerns were about the Header. This is the email I sent to David Sinclair on 22/8

David,

Like other Chairman I too am concerned that the exclusion of the £ as the major header was never discussed by the membership and many in my branch will see this as somewhat of a sell out. They all proudly wear their pound badges which one member has supplied a maroon back drop for.

The second thing that is of even greater concern is that Greg Lance-Watkins has been using this header and still does for several weeks now. I firstly do not accept the explanation given that he would have come across this by accident and secondly if we now continue with it, he can claim he had it first and we copied. Believe me he will at some stage use that to bash the party with.

I was told that the header had been used at the outset when the holding URL was activated, prior to GLW using it. However in my GLW spam this morning, so as not to be missed:

DO NOT MISTAKE THIS eMAIL for an Official EUkip communication,just because they have recently decided to rehash their web site using a similar concept to the Letter Head I’ve been using for over a month,seemingly in an attempt to discredit me!

It could therefore be said he is not as intelligent as others, as his actions are becoming predictable.

Bob, UKIP (with my assistance) recently got control of ukip.org.uk from Imperial Tories, who had been cybersquatting.

The new site wasn't ready yet, so ukip.org.uk was pointed not (as it should have been) to the content on ukip.org, but to a holding page with a "prototype" version of the new header.

Greg went to the ukip.org.uk URL, UKIP UK independence party for a look-see, as anyone could, and you've seen the result.

This is a case of what Doug likes to call "****-up rather than consipracy"...

Spon I am aware of that but that is not what he clearly is now saying which is what I warned of. I am told we paid for this design, so the invoice/receipt should be posted for no other reason than to show GLW up for the liar most know he is.

Bob, if they show the invoice, that'll start yet more debate on whether money was spent wisely. Is that a debate you want to have here?

That could happen but this man has included his claim on every email he now sends out. For that reason alone he needs to shown to be the lair he is. By not doing the party allows him to escape scot free.

Let the readers deicde: GLW has emailed Anthony. Either David Sinclair is lying or GLW is. One has to be.

You'd have a job. It's stock, freely available for purchase, as are many of these things. Most website design now is based around 'CMS' (content management systems) where all you need to do is tune the css and insert your own picture instead of 'logo.jpg/png whatever'.

'website design' is little more now than choosing a meal from a menu.

C pathetic again. Do you never tier of these childish jibes. I was criticised for responding for like with like, guess that doesn't apply to some.

As for my email, then perhaps someone should take up the issue with David Sinclair, I know nothing of these things. I sought clarification of this and got the response I posted. Nevertheless it doesn't alter the fact that GLW copied it from the holding site, knowing full well what he intended to do later. Something I predicted on day one of the new site launch.

Bob, the email response you posted suggests that David Sinclair, if not UKIP HO, doesn't take GLW's claims seriously. How can you be upset with this? For that matter, why should anybody but you pursue the response with David Sinclair?
