Good Lord - what is this ?
Dribble that needs to be mopped up by napkin.
Your conclusion : one cannot be committed to a cause unless you are not paid.
One hair shirt for Brendan Smythe-Harley!
How much dribble can you write?

One is not saying you have to be paid to be committed to a cause, one is saying that is a lot easier for someone to be committed to a cause when it is their full time job, which brings in to question would they be so committed if they didn't rely on their income from being eurosceptic.

You are obviously so politically inept you cannot see this

That is surely the truth and cannot be denied.
But we must reconsier the way and the implication that has been made.
Even if the allegation were true then it does not excuse the manner of its wording.
But a fair point is that NS is on the NEC - yes ?

I'm not going to get into a running argument but I feel a few thing need to be made clear.

I was first involved with UKIP in 1994 at the Euro elections (when we didn't send MEP's to Brussels). There was no money in the party - We were fighting for our country. I have been active in many differing ways ever since. This included paid roles as HO Manager (1999 - 2001 (at 33% under the going rate)) and an assistant to Mike (2004 to date) In those times I have been a branch officer, regional officer, local election candidate and General Election candidate all unpaid and in my own time,

I have also served on various committees including the NEC and was Party Secretary in the run up and subsequent to the Euro's in 2004 - again all unpaid - not even expenses. In fact I gave up four months paid work to volunteer in the run up to the Euro's in 2004.

In addition to this I helped on the Danish 'No' camp in September 2000 and in Ireland a few months ago - all unpaid and off my own back

I am very active as Chairman of my local branch and Chairman of the WM Regional Committee. This is not part of my paid duties. I do it because I care for the party and more importantly my country.

I think UKIP and it's MEPs should employ the best people for the job and UKIP should select it's best people for candidatures. Is it any surprise that occasionally they might be the same people?
