Nope. Is that the codename of a secret UKIP national campaign?

Sorry, Kernow, Christchurch doesn't ring any bells for me. Have I missed something?

That is certainly true, although one would expect that a major national campaign from UKIP should really be visible to people outside the party. No one has mentioned such a campaign here, and I haven't seen any leaflets, websites, newspaper articles or blog coverage of a campaign.

Would you care to enlighten us?

To Anthony and all who are unaware of the Christchurch campaign. This was a local campaign by the branch which I believe saw them increase their membership from about 100 to 250. They dropped leaflets with a message tying the EU to various local problems and included a freepost envelope. They posted another letter to anyone who replied asking them if they would like to join and inviting them to make a donation.

The initial reponse rate varied between 10% and 16% and they now have a database of 5000 people who generally support us. Apparently many people would not join on account of already being members of other parties, but in many cases sent a donation. The campaign paid for itself.

This campaign was highlighted at the party conference. The campaign has been adopted by Lewes and will start there shortly. I'm hoping that we will be doing something similar here in Runnymede.

Thanks for updating us. Didn't this happen about two years ago though? I am fairly sure that we were discussing it while I was still in the party.

Contrary to what Kernow implied, this demonstrates exactly what I said - that the national party provides so little direction and support that a branch felt compelled to run its own (successful) local campaign instead.

A while ago you posted that you had suffered effects when you had certain electrical items plugged in. Is this still occuring with you? It may be that you are being targeted with technology such as non lethal weapons. Do you get any pain with these effects as well?
