Kidd did well in elections and posted more than 6% of the popular and common vote. If he is innocent then the way forward works and if Gulit then he and the other one deserve to stray inside.
The butler Kidd is a member and he should not be. Never should have been and if he can then prove afterwards that it was never him then it's all ok. But - this is well reported and we have to be on guard. Thanks to wenspapers like Sun and The Guradian it keeps the population well-informed and in-the-know. Report it and make sure that people are not abusing their powers and are living lives as correct as possible. Ricky Gervais said it quite correctly when he wrote "Extras Series One" and "The Xmas Special" and I think the little sketch when he was doing FAME was hilarious. Good one - keep up the close observation of the public and I and others will feel safer and protected. Suss it and thank you Anthony! |

Like it or not the man is innocent until proven guilty, so why should he not be a member of UKIP or any other party? If found guilty then different story. But remember, innocent people have been victims of malicious accusations before, such as Dave Jones the ex-Southampton football manager.
In future how are people in head office supposed to know when an applicant for membership has committed a crime and got away with it? A crystal ball perhaps? |

To date, this is one of 339 articles worldwide (picked up from Google News) to report that Paul Kidd has pleaded guilty to 29 charges. Apparently he will be sentenced next month.
The 'METRO' reports two-thirds of the way into the article that "Kidd once stood as a U.K. Independence Party candidate". He was found in 2006 with 18,000 indecent images on his computer. The judge at Manchester Minshull Crown Court warned him that he would be jailed: The paedophile at the Palace | Metro.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

More about the paedophile UKIP candidate Paul Kidd in today's 'Times':
Former royal butler faces jail for sex with underage boys - Times Online Kidd’s use of a webcam, the number of indecent images, and the ***sharing of at least one victim between two men*** has prompted suggestions that he ***could have been part of a larger paedophile ring***. Kidd, who has worked in children’s homes and ***met one of his victims while working as a nurse***, was said by the prosecution team to have an easy charm. One source described him as a ***“brilliant” sexual groomer***. He had said that he was bisexual but that he had changed his ways after becoming a practising Christian. After his arrest he said would leave his fate with God. Kidd, who stood alongside Hobday in the dock at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, admitted offences ***dating from 1975 to 2006***. He pleaded guilty to ***making indecent images of children, possessing indecent images of children, indecent assault, sexual activity with a child, sexual touching of a child and causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity***. Hobday, of Dukinfield, Tame-side, pleaded guilty to sexual activity with a child and possessing an indecent video of a child. Judge Khokar told the men that they were likely to be jailed. He ordered that they be held in custody while preisentence reports were drawn up. Kidd, who has a son who lives in America, ***stood as a UKIP candidate in Dukinfield and Stalybridge in last year’s local government elections***. He has been suspended from the party. +++++ So he is still a member of UKIP? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

If you prefer the less UKIP bashing form of address, you could try "So is he still a member of UKIP?"
He was suspended from the party on the next working day. I for one would not wish to be a member of a party that summarily dismissed a member before his guilt was established. I am confident that had he still been a member when he pleaded guilty, steps would now be in place to expel him. As it is he is no longer a member due to his membership expiring before his trial date. |
