The issue of fox hunting is again raising it's ugly head, but does the Party have any firm policies when it comes to this issue? In the constituency where I live the PPC is in favour of hunting and there may be others. From what I hear and read it seems when it comes to any contentous issues UKIP rolls out the referendum bandwagon, which I find insulting and intolerable, issues of national interest and concern deserve a firm policy. I think we need a poll with a straight decision either in favour or not. The outcome should then go forward as a proposal for policy. I know there have been polls before but this one is important to us all. With the right sort of support who knows we may be able to influence policy Now that would be a step forward from a talking shop to a potential policy proposing forum.

In the scheme of things BB this is not of national interest, it is an irrelevence, at this moment your poll stands at 66% for and 33% against, if things remain this way and UKIP takes this as a reflection of mass support within the party, will you tow the party line or will you resign from the party or go against the party but remain within it.
Dave P.S I have replied on the other thread, please read. |

Sorry Bobby's boy, but it sounds more like you want UKIP to agree with everything that you think. Sometimes it is not as black and white as you have tried to paint it in this poll.
I can't vote in it, because while I do not personally support Hunting for fun and can't understand how other people can. I recognise that there is a sizable amount of people who do and whole communities that take part in it. A vegan probably can't understand why I have to eat meat, but I don't expect their view to trump mine, because it involves the killing of an animal. It is also the thin end of the wedge, with all sorts of other things being banned. Throwing salt on a slug in the garden for instance. The bottom line for me and I suspect most of the British people, is I have far more important things that I want addressing first. The fact Blair is still in power and not in prison for all the thousands of HUMANS that are dying in Iraq takes priority for me. Local referendums are perfectly acceptable to me, as the communities themselves can make the decisions that will effect their lives. If you think pushing power back INTO phpbb_the peoples hands is the wrong thing to do, then I would suggest UKIP isn't really the party for you.

Cannot things just be left up to individal concsience(SP!). Do you need a rule for everthing. I think that kids at school should be taught hunting, killing and prepareing their food - This is us surviving. We are getting far too fluffey about the whole thing -and yes chickens should all be free range with 'rights'. If you don't eat for 5 days you will eat worm stew - but at a guess you have never been that hungery. |
