c_steam is spot on. The old not appointed or elected Lords spoke from the heart as to what they thought was best for Britain, unlike to-days appointed toadies. As for doc_cruels anti hunting agenda, it is a pity he doesn't direct his venom towards religious slaughter, dogs in flats, rabbits in tiny hutches, birds in cages and the "big men" (little willie's) who love the control of their dog on a 'choke chain.'

Ultimately hunting is a different issue but one I raised in this topic for a point. Whether right or wrong, in knowledge of the facts or not the majority of Brits are against fox hunting and support the ban - Fact, not even the country side alliance are disputing this.

Yet, if Knapman were to return lords to their previous position of ultimate power then the ban would never have made law - even though the will of the people want this law! - Politicians may be slimly creatures at the best of times but they have to enforce the will of their constituents or they will be out come the next general election!

The hunting bill just proves the lords are interesting in their own agenda - The 'unappointed and unelected' didn't speak from their hearts about what they thought was best for Britain during that debate.... The fact that the majority of us Brits wanted a ban didn't even register with them.

Now. If you people love Britain and want to see us free from unelected bodies then how could you want to seed power to this group? Surely the whole point of wanting to leave the EU is to bring power back to Britain and the people of our island!

Giving a veto of every law passed to the Earl of Erroll & other social elite isn't giving power back to the British people at all! Knapman's plan is in effect removing all but the illusion of democracy in Britain.
