Default UKIP to affilliate with No2ID Campaign!!

YES!

UKIP has today become an official affliate of the NO2ID campaign. In line with UKIP's policies to be a free democratic society that will not punish the normal person in the name of security, I have been reliably informed that a major press announcement is soon to follow!

This is superb news, and it strengthens my resolve and makes me even more determined to fight for UKIP.

I was already a member of NO2ID, I am overjoyed that the we are becoming a prominent member in their campaign!

SUPERB!

A dicky bird

I used the feedback form on the main site in a message to HQ, and they replied. I am over the moon, as this was my second biggest cause that I support. I can now do both under a single banner! Smashing news!

That really is excellent news! 8)

I could see from earlier threads that most people here opposed ID cards, but I didn't know UKIP's official position. I'm glad they are going to make it so clear!

It's a sharp contrast with the Tories, whom I'm sorry to say have just ratted on the anti-ID card cause, despite the libertarian sympathies of some of their senior figures:

I hope UKIP give a high profile to this in the election campaign.

This really is welcome news.
What exactly do the Cons and Labs not agree upon now?

It's good news week ...

Griffin arrested ...

... and it's only Tuesday!

Who knows what delights will be revealed by Friday?

The U.K. Independence Party announced today that it is to formally affiliate to the No2ID campaign, the non-party group fighting the introduction of compulsory ID cards.
You heard it it hear first!

Quote:
UKIP Leader Roger Knapman MEP said, "ID cards have been touted as a sort of panacea to the government's ills, including illegal immigration, benefit fraud and terrorism, although there is no proof whatsoever that ID cards will have any effect on these problems.
Spot on!

UKIP are now listed as an official supporter on the no2id site!

http://www.no2id.net/about/supporters.php

I like the fact UKIP Bournmouth got in there with their support early, though I guess their name will be reomoved now the main party have thrown their weight behind the campaign.

Good to see our logo is on the supporters list too!

And still people will call the UKIP a "right wing" party, as far is know the big brother state labour and thier best friends the tories want us to move towards is one of the most extreme right-wing governments you can get!. Next they will be giving us free flat-screen TV's for every room in our house, except you wont be able to turn them off, so you'll never miss Eastenders, er, also they will have cameras in them so that the police can keep watch on your house at all times..just in case a pedophile or a burglar breaks in!
