Beefy why would he support england if he's scottish?

btw whats it got to do with his tennis anyway - are you just trying to start one of your usual race debates?

He's supposed to be representing Great Britain which is kind of a joke if he's known to be anti - English.

Perhaps the union should be broken down to the individual countries for all sporting events?

why - he's still British, just not english ?

Who can blame him for being anti-english -besides its a bold statement to make really - i thought beefy reckoned it was just to do with which footy team he supports - im sure anybody from N.Ireland will be supporting their own team, not england - doesn't necessarily make them all anti- english.

sheesh we are giving beefy exactly what he was looking for

It was a comment made in jest, Andy has English family members and no doubt has English blood in his heritage. He is of course Scottish, first and foremost and I see nothing wrong with him having a strong Scottish identity, after all why shouldn't he? Scotland and England are naturally rivals, it's a friendly rivalry for the most part, so naturally I would expect Andy Murray to want Scotland to triumph and England to fail.

So wishing your rivals the very worst in a sporting event makes someone anti-whatever? In that case, I'm anti-Scottish and anti-Welsh. Of course I am neither, because I love regular visits to Edinburgh and Cardiff, respectively. I enjoy learning more about thier unique cultures; yet when it comes to sport, Rugby and Football in particular, I want them to crash and burn and I expect the a vice versa attitude from Scottish and Welshmen.

The fact he went out of the way to say he would rather a non-British team win, than England, suggests he has something against the English.

For that reason I couldn't care less if he wins or not.
