No, instead it taxes me on my fields which are there purely to stop people from living too close to me because you're all a bunch of noisy ********.

It doesn't have most of the problems of property taxes as far as I can see. Care to explain how it does?
You say "It actually increases the bond to the land"

then say "is a distributive method hence the support of Catholic distributionists like John Medaille. It will allow more people to own more productive property and their own homes and land more easily."

Make up your mind which.

I have just once question, what prevents the actual owner (this comes from my very own circumstances) from passing on the cost of the LVT to the tenant? This already occurs with the council tax, so why would LVT be any different?

Practical example then my training partner at the gym lives on a £500,000 farm with quite a bit of land when his parents die they will pass it down to him.
He earns £15,000 a year.
Under your system he would have to sell the family farm that has been his ancestors for generations.
It's a disgusting system.
Same goes for a couple who may who a large house and quite a bit of land.
The husband dies then the window is left to pick up the bill thus must sell up again.
Absolutely disgusting.

So BC, by that token I can take it that you are 100% against IT. Disgusting that people should be forced to sell property and other bits and bobs to pay for the tax bill.

Oh, BonnieDundee, I told you a while back that I would get back to you about the libertarian party and their stance on geolibertarianism (this thread reminded me).

They don't seem to have any specific stance on which type of libertarianism they subscribe to (apart from left libertarianism), but just generally wish to take practical measures - such as tax reduction - without focusing too much on specific libertarian philosophy.

Dundee doesn't care, since he's a communist.

Yes.
Tax should be on income.
