I have noticed that New Labour politicians say the word "fairness" a lot (it was the leitmotiv of the New Labour conference). If New Labour is as interested in fairness as they say, then why:
Can you think of any examples of New Labour's rhetoric matching the reality? |

By “Fairness” Labour really mean special rights for their chosen groups.
It’s the same with equality – most people consider equality in terms of opportunity whereas Labour consider equality in terms of outcome – again for their chosen groups. It goes right back to the old adage: “All men are equal, but some are more equal than others”. A traditional forte of the left wing.
