I wouldn't. I'd prefer to have Blair or Brown for a decade than Thatcher for a year.

She's up there with Walpole and Eden as one of our worst prime ministers.

I'd have Thatcher back over those two idiots any day of the week.

Sure, if you don't like anyone but her rich friends then she was brilliant. Alot of what makes Blair and Brown so bad comes from her.

A lot of what was so bad about her was being to ruthless to sort the mess left from the previous labour government.

She gave the working class something labour have no intention of giving which is the opportunity to work your way out of poverty and up the ladder.

She also kept the pound strong which meant in reality the buying power of the money you were paid would buy you more.

To much public spending leads to a weaker pound so the sum total is we're being taxed more, then the currency is being deflated meaning the money that we have left at the end of the week in fact has less buying power. It's a double blow.

What have labour done for the working class other than tax them more? Please tell me.

I didn't say it would be a good idea.... It seems he is the front runner for the position, but only, inho, because of his heavy connections with the Labour Friends of Israel. Other than that, he has no interest in representing this Country in an official capacity - the recent visit by the Saudi King, where he (Miliband) decided to go to the USA instead. Not a good move by a Foreign Secretary.

What Thatcher did was simply try and aid big business by attacking the rights of workers and helping her rich mates out in various ways. I'd take the BNP over that Robber Baron nightmare again.

But what is exactly New Labour have done to help the poor?

As far as I can see Labour have done far more to aid big business. They have brought in so man rules, regulations and taxes that smaller companies can not cope or grow wile the big corporations can swallow up any gapes in the market. Big business love regulation as it stops new competition from emerging.

On top of all this the rules and regulation now have left companies in a position where rather than taking on full time staff they rely on cheap disposable agency workers that can be hired and fired at will. How has that helped the poor?

That is completely correct, but that is because Nulabour have moved right and taken on so much of the Thatcherite rubbish.

You appear to be saying that: (1) there is a 'Jewish lobby' that has great influence in the selection of Labour leaders; (2) David Miliband's main concern is to promote Israel's interests.

Both propositions are false, IMHO, and I am surprised that no one has commented thus far.

Obviously you may wish to clarify as there may be some other interpretation to your words.
