This whole thread is evidence of the dearth of ideas about this subject both within and without the FEP. Do try to live with this reality without making irrelevant, catty remarks! ![]() ---------------------- |

cassie, the FEP were trying to demonstate their wish for democracy by inviting suggestion and comments from all on here,we should give them credit for that,I'm not aware of any other party offering all and sundry to have input into party policy, discussions and thoughts, are you?

Now what have we had thus far? Let me see . . . a magazine and a forum! Simply amazing originality. Talking about trying to flog a dead horse. Don't do old tarnished owl's trick of attacking me for pointing out a truth! Get on and address the subject of the thread for once! -- |

I look at it as a party leader inviting ideas from members. This is actually quite commonplace and is a sign of a healthy democracy.

Years ago they were effectively bilingual, but increasingly schools only teach in Catalan, to the exclusion of Spanish. Some say that Catalan professionals are starting to be poorly integrated with the rest of Spain on the basis of their relatively poor language skills. If so this seems a rather sorry state of affairs, which perhaps has arisen from an excess of nationalist fervour. It is surely a pointless sort of nationalism which effectively dismantles the Spanish state. The English (or most of us) are not pressing for this sort of 'independence' at the expense of a Britain which - despite some recent protestations of victimhood - Engand has always pretty much dominated. |
