I have advocated the cause of English independence for many reasons, some of which relate of course to the moral and financial bankruptcy of the British government, and the deadly incompetence of British politicians
When I read about the real sickening facts of what our British political elites are doing, I realise that they must be sent packing - and never allowed to hold office again. The American war in Afghanistan which HMG so enthusiastically supports has already taken the lives of over a hundred of our servicemen, and brought crippling wounds to many hundreds more. (Compared to the toll of blood, the financial cost of this pointless war is of no account but that is already in the billions. All these sums are borrowed for later generation of English taxpayers to pay the interest and the principal). We now read today that Britain’s most senior military commander in Afghanistan, Brigadier Mark Carleton-Smith, has warned that the war in Afghanistan cannot be won, that the British public should not expect a decisive military victory, but should be prepared for a possible deal with the Taliban. Meanwhile it is reported in the same newspaper that the British Ambassador in Kabul, Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, has been quoted as saying that the current strategy was doomed to fail. I was brought up as the son of a professional servicemen and I truly believe that the best sort of people are to be found serving in the armed forces. But it is clear that the hopelessly corrupted British political elites, with their fascination for foreign intervention and to hanging onto America’s coat tails as part of an attempt to cling to pretentions of power, is costing us the lives of so many of the good men and women who serve in the armed forces. The ‘vanity statesmanship’ and ‘armchair warmongering’ of the corrupt British political elites should never be forgotten. The longed-for government of an independent England should keep a clear determination to remember that our lives of English servicemen are so precious that they should never be wasted again in foreign wars. I wish I could offer comfort to the families of servicemen who have been sacrificed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I can bring no soft words to assuage their pain and loss. All I can say now is that we in the Free England Party and other Englishmen are doing our best to bring national independence to England and the return of a sovereign English Parliament. Once we have these the newly independent England should quickly withdraw all our remaining servicemen from fighting in America’s wars.
