The New Forest, before the don't do thiis and the don't do that brigade took the helm.
To wander freely and pitch ones tent where and when one took the fancy, Buckler's Hard where the imagination can run riot, you can almost hear the sound of the ship building history.
Oh stop it, nostalgia should be kept in the past.

Yes, and if you go further south to Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset, not to forget Devon and Cornwall, you'll can experience other of England's charms!
And Cornwall's.

Actually it is a Palatinate duchy seperate from England in de jure constitutional terms so you are incorrent but nice try.

Man though it is quite pathetic that people who don't live their take the fact that the Cornish don't want to be English as a hit to their personal pride. Jesus Christ, do you people have such low self-esteem and self-worth? It really sours English nationalism in my opinion.

I don't think you know what you're talking about.
We have bills in Westminster for England and Wales, and bills solely for England.
We have a legal system for England and Wales.
Cornwall is not represented in any shape or form in law or government (apart from a county council).

So please don't think I'm being emotional about it - I'm merely stating facts.

Out of curiosity, how many times have you visited Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

The fact however is that because consitutitional statuses and laws do not become obsolete with time in British constitutional law then Cornwall's status as a Palatinate duchy seperate from England is still valid in de jure terms no matter how much this is ignored in de facto terms much like the royal perogative. Technically Cornwall's head of state is actually the Duke of Cornwall. This is the fact.

And no matter how much you might want to talk about "facts" you still are motivated by a strange desire to deny Cornwall autonomy despite it actually having little to do with you.

I observe that, yet again, a relatively benign thread about England has been subjected to interference by someone with Scottish antecedents who, not only regards himself as non-English, but is actually domiciled abroad! No surprises here then! The irony is that the offender, in true Caledonian tradition, portrays himself as the victim, the one offended against!

Others may see - if they wish to see - that I had no part in changing the nature of the earlier aimiable exchanges on this thread.
