I have been informed that the Small Claims Court now has UKIP on its list for hearing regarding Ms Linnda Bobson in her claim against UKIP to recover her £250-00 deposit from when she was standing to join the UKIP MEP Candidate List.
Anyone else know more about this Court case against UKIP? |

Which Small Claims Court? There is one in every County Court. It would take too long to do a full search of all of them.
If Miss Bobson has entered the claim in her local court, as most people do, she might find that UKIP transfer it, should they wish to contest the matter, to a court close to UKIP's registered office. Neither side need to attend as the matter can be delt with on the papers. Neither side, unless the other side's actions are patently unreasonable, will be able to recover their costs. Even then they will be limited to £1000. A decision made in one Small Claims Court will not bind a judge in another court on a similar matter.
