3%? With no BNP to compete with, and only the major parties running?

UKIP seems well on track for getting 20%+ at the EU elections.

Actually it was closer to 4%.

Not a sterling result but to be expected in the circumstances. Guildford has traditionally been a pretty weak branch for us so it is unlikely that UKIP has ever stood a candidate in this particular ward before.

What an appalling result! I know Guildford well, having lived there for two years, and the thought that UKIP cannot poll 4% of the vote there augurs ill for next June. PC Dave must be fairly confident that the sheeple are coming home to the Tory fold . . .

Absolutely and that's the worry. I always thought it was premature to write of the Tories, including when my own party did it as well. The state and NWO will assess which of its puppets is best placed to serve its interests and they have obviously thrown their weight behind the once disunited Tories. While they are all froth and spin, the Tories are a real threat and the tragedy is that their winning the next election will just continue the decline of this country and the destruction of its people and heritage.

I once stood in Holy Trinity ward there, but that's the only other time we fielded a ward candidate IIRC. Unlike most places, all council seats normally come up in the same year.

I gather the branch is now under Mole Valley's wing..
