Libertarianism in itself is neither Left nor Right.
For example, you can get Libertarians who lean towards the left, then those such as Margaret Thatcher who, although wasn't exactly a Libertarian, shared many similarities to what could be called a right-wing Libertarian.

The problem with debates on political ideology is that no one seems to agree on the meaning of the terms used.
There are socialist 'libertarians' and capitalist libertarians. They are far from the same, in the same way that BNP nationalism is different to Sinn Fein nationalism.

How can this be when Statism can produce two opposites in society.Statism is left wing. End of.
For example Right wing statism could deport all non-whites and create a monoracial society.
Left wing statism on the other hand could enforce multiracialism and create a mongrel nation.
