100,000 immigrants a year is considerably less than we receive now, and if my memory serves me correctly, then he proposed a quota system for asylum seekers.

Ah, but our young UKIP friend was probably impressed that he went to Burnley in 2003 to "take on" the BNP, by telling an audience of Muslims that they had "enriched beyond measure" Britain!

Ha! I never knew that. But well done to the man for enduring the xenophobic filth the BNP's John Tyndall threw at him. How are you going to defend the notorious fascist Tyndall now?

Watch his Paxman interview on the subject.
He says if 100,000 was reached he wouldnt stop more coming.
He also wants the Aussie points system which would let in more than we let in now.

We had hysteria and Enoch Powell in the 1960's when immigration was at 50,000 and people demanding it be stopped then.
Howard is a Liberal.

Michael Howard, he was a Conservative through and through.

As is David Cameron. However Cameron has retained some Conservative values, while selling out on some.

He's simply rebranded the Conservatives as a Social Conservative Democratic party whilst in Opposition to gain votes and support, give him a 100+ majority and watch him start introuducing some Conservative policies.

Lets see both are pro-immigration, both favour foreign aid, both support the EU, both support possitive discrimination for ethnics, both support funding for sexual and ethnic minority groups.
I could go on.
Neither are Conservative in the slightest.

I don't recall defending John Tyndall on this forum. He would not approve of me or people like me, those in the modernising wing of the BNP that is.

Thatcher had many very good Conservative ideas like ending immigration, leaving the EU (now), bringing back corporal and capital punishment, putting homosexuality firmly back behind closed doors (or even keeping it illegal according to her book the path to power).
But this was undermined by total obedience to Libertarian market theory which sacrificed profit making British Nationalised Industries on the Altar of dogma and let slip into foreign hands some of the most famous British companies of all time.
Not to mention her totally subservient and quite fearful attitude to the United States.
