Basildon Boy is a genealogist by profession. He has made statements about an understandable to some but not to others statement by DCB about a generational relationship to the former prime minister.
As DCB has made his claim to a relationship it is the duty of those who disbelieve him to prove it is false. I have seen claims here that it is totally fake but have not seen any evidence to support it. For such a famous family over such a brief time period it cannot be hard to prove or disprove such a relationship; the use by DCB of the name of his parents surely being irrelevant as judgement of him. That BB has not claimed there is no relationship suggests to me that they are related but that as DCB has confirmed himself some years ago there are extra levels to that relationship than was informally suggested at the time.
