But surely there are different forms of Protestant Christianity? And some forms of Christianity
oppose liberalism. Over the years there have been many theological disputes over liberalism, and in some quarters the description 'liberalism' is seen as a term of abuse and something to be shunned.
I am not sure that liberalism has much to do with Protestant Christianity, it probably has more to do with atheists like Rousseau and Voltaire? I think a stronger criticism would be to look at what the Church of England people believe and say, and how they behave today, and make a criticism of this. I think, again, you'll find that there are different approaches in the different wings of the C of E. Some of them may be bad, and others of them good.
