I do not wish this criminal breach of the Data Protection Act to interfere with my duties both as Chairman of UKIP Ipswich and East Suffolk and UKIP PPC for Ipswich North/ Central Suffolk. I hope that the Courts can in the fullness of time resolve this matter, providing just one small step to cleaning-up UKIP, making it electable and ultimately a force for change in this once great land.

We have all witnessed UKIP’s collapse since 2004 and the sharp decline in membership numbers. I personally feel saddened that our party has been reduced to little more than a cult where the cry is ‘The Leader is always right!’ Under our current leadership we will be lucky to get a single MEP elected or re-elected in 2009. Under our current leadership and at our current rate of progress we will still be a minority in the year 3,000, which is I believe 248 elections away!

Perhaps the fact that this outrageous debacle has occurred will spur members to push for greater competence, honesty and transparency in our party, especially at the very top. A true leader listens to his members. He does not ignore them. I hope that in the future a new leader will appoint honest, competent staff and officers, find competent legal support and generally act in a more professional manner. UKIP needs a clear and visible structure of accountability. It would seem that although the NEC are in the main liable they in many instances men and women of straw without relevant insurance, and are legally responsible for decisions made by rogue UKIP staff.

May I congratulate the handful of NEC members who are fighting for transparency, honesty and a sense of responsibility. Until now I had not believed the rumours or the statements of past leadership contenders, past chairmen and various past NEC members who had quit in disgust, along with many members after failing to reform UKIP and make it a true alternative to the old party system. Sadly it has become all too obvious that the party in its present form is corrupt, bullying and incompetent. Unless it is cleaned-up now UKIP will remain unelectable. However, I still hope and believe that a cleaner, better, stronger UKIP will emerge once the current leadership has been replaced.

I have been accused by senior UKIP individuals of being naïve. Perhaps I am but I do believe in my Country. I am a Patriot and wish to see Great Britain free to make our own laws. I wish to see this land governed by our own Parliament who are, unlike the EU, accountable directly to the people.

The current leadership would do well to heed the words of Oliver Cromwell who when faced with an inept and incompetent clique of self-serving MPs used these words: You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go! .

In conclusion, I wish to bring to your attention a conversation with a senior UKIP MEP. This conversation does little but exacerbate the perception of offensive and inept behaviour of UKIP’s leadership. Indeed this particular MEP has blamed me for damaging the Euro-sceptic cause, the party and the country for reporting an alleged crime to the police! He said that I should not have reported it as the allegation may damage UKIP! He continued “After all, if someone said you had committed a murder I would not go to the police as I would know it was not true”. I found this to be an extraordinary interpretation of justice and the law. What made this statement even worse was to hear it uttered by a member of what is ostensibly a law and order party!

I was saddened that a man I had previously admired was advocating I act in breach of common law and risk facing a charge of accessory after the fact or at least being accused of colluding in a cover-up.

I believe this particular individual should consider his position as an MEP and whether he is capable of holding the responsibility and its duties since he seems unwilling to uphold basic tenets of law and goes so far as to criticise me for having done so.

I repeat, if I am made aware of a crime I have a legal duty to report it to the police regardless of any possible damage to the party.

At least it seems there are a couple of decent people with access to leadership butterflies that have emerged amongst the caterpillars that squabble, cheat and lie amongst the leadership to keep snouts in the troughs on the EU gravy train.

Clear rumour has it that when this squalid debacle commenced Farage in complete denial of reality, morality or ANY understanding of leadership fought his own senior members for two days to try to prevent the sacking of Annabelle Fuller – members in the hierarchy inform me that the fight to preserve this [DELETED BY MOD] became most acrimonious only being resolved when John Wittacker threatened to go public with Farage’s incompetence and obsession with hanging onto this damaging individual.

I gather Annabelle was fired but the condition was that Wittacker put out the idiotic letter to all and sundry with the implausible lies about taxi drivers and Ms. Fuller having been allowed to resign!! This just brought disrepute on EUkip as surely no organisation could have a Chairman who was so incompetent and naive – then to pour salt in all honest member’s wounds he failed to apologise to anyone for the breech of data protection or to have apologised on behalf of the party to John West.

Having fought to hang on closely to Fuller I gather Farage first tried to get her employment with the 2 Tory Peers who have defected to EUkip (I’ll bet they regret that!) I understand they refused. Now I gather there are efforts to find her a job with the turncoat Tory Bob Spink and I’m told Gawain Towler has managed to get her an appointment for an interview with The Tax Payer’s Alliance. I have received confirmation of this from more than one individual who has proved reliable in the past – yes it is only hearsay as is ALL evidence of this nature but I’m sure you will be fascinated to read of this horrid woman’s [REALLY DISTASTEFUL ABUSE DELETED BY MOD]. How could ANYONE from EUkip, who represents decent honourable members as well as the scum that has floated to the top, how could they recommend such a being to anyone? Even such a recommendation could backfire on EUkip!
